The 12th GWDAW conference is rapidly approaching together with certain deadlines we would like to remind you about.
The abstract submission deadline is Monday, November 19. The conference's website at http://gwdaw12.mit.edu provides links to the abstract submission interface. A layout of the scientific program of the upcoming GWDAW12 conference is also now posted. Connecting gravitational wave data analysis with observational astrophysics is the main theme of this year's GWDAW; several sessions are built around this. Abstracts relating to this connection are especially invited. We are delighted to have observational astrophysicist colleagues joining us with key talks from the electromagnetic and particle spectra that relate to gravitational wave sources. Traditional gravitational wave data analysis sessions not necessarily connecting with observational astrophysics are also identified and abstracts are solicited.
Poster sessions will be receiving increased emphasis with daily time allocation and in-session summaries. We will also be introducing a student prize (that includes a cash amount) for the most informative poster (see the abstract submission page for eligibility and award details).
The block of rooms at the conference hotel will be held at a significantly reduced rate (for the Boston/Cambridge standards) until November 26. Hotels may become very expensive if not booked by then and under the negotiated group rate. By November 26 we also hope to receive your registration and payment.
The GWDAW12 conference proceedings will be published in a special volume of Classical and Quantum Gravity. Deadline for submission is March 31, 2008; all submitted papers will be refereed.
Please visit our web page at http://gwdaw12.mit.edu for further details related to this conference.
Looking forward to seeing you in Cambrigde, Massachusetts and MIT.
Erik Katsavounidis for the Scientific Organizing Committee
Scott Hughes for the Local Organizing Committee
