December 16, 2007: Pinkesh Patel of Caltech is the prize winner
of the first student poster competition of GWDAW.
Pinkesh's poster on a Resampling Technique to Calculate
the F-statistic co-authored with X. Siemens and R. Dupuis received
the most votes in the secret ballot conducted. A 1-page summary of
his poster shown at the plenary session advertisement section
is available here.

The prize comes with a $300 cash award sponsored by the
MIT Kavli Institute.Congratulations Pinkesh!

April 28, 2008:
It is now finalized that the 13th GWDAW conference will be hosted
by the Arecibo Observatory at Puerto Rico from
January 19-22, 2009 at the Condado Plaza Hotel
in San Juan. The Center for Gravitational Wave
Astronomy of the University of Texas at Brownsville together with
the Arecibo Observatory are leading the organization.
